Interesting facts about space.
"These two bodies whirl around each other rapidly, causing the gravitational forces that they exert on the small nearby moons to change constantly. Being subject to such varying gravitational forces makes the rotation of Pluto's moons very unpredictable. The chaos in their rotation is further intensified by the fact that these moons are not neat and round, but are actually shaped like rugby balls," explained Dr. Douglas Hamilton in the June 3, 2015 HST Press Release. Dr. Hamilton is of the University of Maryland in College Park, and co-author of the study.
and here is another
Triton also possesses a thin atmosphere composed mainly of nitrogen, and a smaller quantity of methane. This atmosphere probably is the result of Triton's cryovolcanism, which is enhanced by seasonal heating from the Sun. Although little is currently known of Pluto's atmosphere, it is thought to be primarily composed of nitrogen with some carbon monoxide and methane added to the mix--and it is extremely tenuous. Pluto's very thin atmosphere may exist as a gas only when Pluto is nearest to the Sun (perihelion). For most of Pluto's very long year, the atmospheric gases are frozen in the form of ice on its extremely frigid surface. One year on Triton is almost 248 Earth-years long--or 90,471 Earth-days!
"The good news is that our models show that observations of a wet Moon are not incompatible with a Giant Impact origin," Dr. Nakajima explained in the February 26 2018 Carnegie Institution Press Release.

Earth's lunar companion is thought to have been born about 4.51 billion years ago, according to a recent study. This means that our Moon was born soon after Earth's formation in the primeval Solar System. The average distance of Earth's Moon from our planet is about 238,900 miles--or approximately 1.28 light-seconds--and it is in synchronous rotation with Earth, always showing the same face, with the near side famous for its beautiful bewitching dark volcanic maria (Latin for seas) that are situated between prominent impact craters and the bright, very ancient, crustal highlands. Our Moon's surface is actually quite dark, even though it appears in the sky at night to be very bright, with a reflectance only a bit higher than that of old asphalt. The prominent position of our Moon in our planet's night sky, as well as its regular cycle of phases, have made our nearest and dearest celestial companion a valuable cultural influence since ancient times in art, mythology, language, and on calendars.
Alas, this is not the case with Phobos and Deimos. Phobos, the larger of the duo of little Martian moons, at 22 kilometers in diameter, is lazily tumbling towards Mars and will approach the Roche limit in about 20 million years. At this tragic point, it will shatter into fragments that will ultimately form a spectacular ring around its planet. Only Deimos will remain--bereft of its companion. Deimos is the smaller moon of the pair, and circles its parent-planet further out. This last remaining little moon will be a lonely object lingering in the Martian sky at this sad point--but it was not always thus. The new 2016 study suggests that Mars once possessed a very complex system of many moons.
The Apollo 11's lunar module, Eagle, landed on the surface of the moon on the 20th of July, 1969. It landed at approximately 20:17:40 UTC. An interesting fact is that the Eagle had barely enough fuel left for 25 seconds more, as the two men had encountered some difficulties during landing due to their training at NASA. Things were quite a bit different in reality and the several alarms that were going off certainly didn't help to calm the already likely nerve-wracking maneuver.
